On travel nursing way up north...

Okay, so a respiratory therapist and another nurse I work with juuuust about had me talked into traveling to Alaska in the beginning of 2008 (it's always been something I wanted to do). The respiratory therapist showed me pictures from her last trip and the scenery was beautiful, which made me even more ready to be there. Absolutely stunning. We talked for a good long time and I was ready to pack my bags...

That is, until the temperature here dropped to 11ºF. I realize that Alaska gets a lot colder for a lot longer and I'm suddenly I have some pretty cold feet about going long term. Of course, travel nursing gigs are usually 13 weeks long and I can handle anything for 13 weeks, right?
