Fun weekend

So I had a good weekend. Full of friends and fun. And even a little traveling.

But let's start with Thursday. Could have ruined everything, but didn't.

An open window
So Thursday night I had to work my evening job and had planned to take it easy after doin some laundry. So after work, I went to the laundromat, read some Fitzgerald and chilled there. Then I had to run a couple of errands. Well I rolled my window down to get some fresh air. Um, then tried to roll it back up. It didn't happen. How lovely. Not only that, it's 10:00 at night and snowing. UGH

So I went home, and me and my roommate ghettoed it up by putting a garbage back on there. I also had to clean out my car. It was weird. All my CDs, papers, books, etc, that's part of my "car life". I had to bring my "car life" into my "home life" it was weird!  That's ok, I now had no excuse to not upload more CD's onto my iPod.

I dropped it off on Friday morning and then my roommate dropped me off at school. He still didn't get it done, so that sucked.

Unofficial unexpected suckiness
Ok so Unofficial St. Pats didn't suck for everyone. But it did for me. As you guys know I'm a bartender on campus. Unofficial St. Patrick's Day is a big deal. People come from all over to our campus to drink green beer. Well I was supposed to be bartending that day. Instead what do I get stuck doing? Working the side bar. Which means, I was selling shots, drafts and Jaeger bombs on the side. I was like a glorified shot girl with a cash register. It sucked balls. For 6 fucking hours having to deal with stupid drunk kids. I'd rather be doing that pouring beer in the main bar. At least they had good music down there. I mean my job wasn't that bad. It was easy, and probably not as stressful, but I just felt like a fuckin' retard. I'm a bartender, not a cheerleader. I still made some decent cash in tips though. So I can't complain. (Oh and it was easier to flirt with some of the cute guys that came through.

After that Jeff, Geoff , Rosa and Laura went off to DR Diggers for karaoke

Me enjoying a beer at one of the local white trash bars. I had had it with those drunken kids!

Here's Jeff and I getting ready to do "We Built This City" by Starship

Saturday-To Chicago or not to Chicago
So I was without car, bored and wondering what to do. It was bear night and I hadn't been to a bear night since last May. So I decided to do it. I had my roommate's girl drop me off to the car rental place. Yeah I went there and even though I had reserved a car, she's like "we don't have any cars" Yeah the internet isn't linked to their actual site. However, since she had cancellations and no shows, I was able to get a car with in a half hour wait. So that wasn't so bad.

Dude, they gave me the UGLIEST car I had ever seen. It was a KIA Rondo. Good lord, it was like a big ugly box. It was like station wagon meets SUV. Just eww. It drove nicely and had an ok stereo system. I just needed four wheels to get me to the city.

The drive was great. The Dan Ryan was easy as was driving up to Edgewater, parking my car and heading in to Rory's place.  Rory made dinner, and our friend Mike from Downer's Grove came to meet us.

Bear Night
It was my first bear night in FOREVER! So I was kinda nervous and shy because I'm not sure if people would remember me. Or even know me. Boy was I wrong.  I got attacked the minute I walked through the door. That was nice. Hugs and kisses from all my friends and hot guys. Very nice. I had a blast catching up with people and kickin' it bear style!

Here's Ed and me! Go Cubs and Go Illini. Always a pleasure seeing him!

There's Tom, Eddie and I. Then there's that cute furry cub off to the side. I can't remember his name. But what I do remember was making out with him and licking his hot furry chest and nips.

Good times
I had a good time overall. Got to hang out and make connections again. I'm sure I'll be back in Chicago for more bear nights. It was a lot of fun!

Sunday fun
So I ran into a buddy of mine at bear night. Clinton used to live in Champaign but now lives in the city. We decided to get together for lunch and hang out on Sunday. So I drove down to his place in Logan Square. We went to lunch at this kick ass little neighborhood bar called Sidestreet Cafe. Loved it. Had a good reuben sandwich.

After that we met up with his friend Antoine and had some herbal essences and enjoyed walking through Humboldt Park. What a blast. It was such a nice day out too!! We saw the movie set for Humboldt Park . We also walked over to a Pizza Hut cuz we were hungry! You know how that stuff works up your appetite *wink* So much fun! But alas it had to head. I had to get on the road by 7 because I had to be back in Champaign to work the bar and close it. UGH
So I drove back here.

Work was fine, decent crowd, made some cash went home and crashed out. What a great weekend!

I hope you all had a great one!!!
