Stability of Personality
I have to write an essay on this topic - today.
Seems there are two main theorists doing the roungs, one of the theorists (Costa & McCrae) have a biologically based model called the Five Factor Model (FFM) and it is based on the "big 5" personality traits - extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness. Mischel (the other guy) says it's all about the situation - people will behave differently in different circumstances.
They do seem to be coming togther over time though.
Now to turn this into an argument and get it written. Due monday :(
