What Do I Do All Day
I really can not figure out what it is I do all day. The days definitely pass really fast, but I am never doing anything that makes that happen. I haven't played World of Warcraft in about a week now, I haven't had much work in the past few days either. All I can remember doing is sitting out in the sun and that's about it. I don't know if my memory is just completely shot or if I am really doing nothing and time is just flying by. I look around my apartment and see a bunch of stuff that I still have to do, including cleaning up from the barbecue the other day and clearing out the second bedroom so Nikki can move in when she is ready to. But here I sit doing nothing but typing away in my LiveJournal wasting yet another day away.
Two Girls On The Same Floor
For some reason lately I have been meeting some girls that live on my floor. On Sunday I met a girl named Christine that lives around the corner from me and I invited her to the BBQ that I had on Monday. She didn't end up showing up, but I bumped into her in the elevator on my way up from grabbing work and SHE brought up the BBQ and that she was sorry she couldn't make it because she was not feeling well and that we will chill out soon. She ahs been living in the building since January and so she doesn't know the area too well and wants me to show her around. On my way down to grab the work I bumped into a new girl to my building named Jess or Jenn or something like that. She moved into the apartment literally across the hall from me where the hot chick lives, but hot chick is gone back to her parents for the summer until school starts back up. She was cute I think, hard to tell with a bike helmet on, but we had a few minutes to talk while waiting on the elevator which takes forever. On my way back out to drum circle a couple hours later I bumped into her again coming back from her bike ride. Stupidly I didn't take my headphones off so I couldn't hear what she was saying and was just nodding and smiling like an idiot. Oh well, I had a Lianne to see and a drum circle to get to!
The Circle Of Drums
Last night was my first drum circle, and that was an interesting event. I would have just spent the night at home doing nothing as usual until Lianne mentioned that she might want to go to it. I had already seen it mentioned in a bunch of friend's statuses on Facebook so I easily found out where it was being held and headed off to her house to walk over to the park. It turned out that it was in a pit in the middle of Trinity Bellwoods Park. To put it mildly, there were a lot of hippies there. A lot of people had their drums and were pounding away to the beat, but there was not much of a circle, more like a large mass of people and then scattered little pockets of people as you go further from the main group. There were also fire dancers and all kinds of other weird stuff going on. It was an interesting experience that with the right people I would go back to.
The Circle Of Drums... And Jelly Beans!
Lianne and I were just walking around for a little bit taking everything in from all different angles. At some point we bumped into "Dragon" and "Havoc" and we were hanging out with them because we couldn't find anyone else we knew. MJ (Dragon) reached into his bag and pulled out a Misfits blanket which made me happy. We all had a sitdown close to all the action in what probably looked like to outsiders as a gothic/punk picnic, quite the contrast from all the hippies. Then MJ pulled out a bag of jelly beans and it was on! Even with the goth/punk kids I still seem to be the only one that loves everything black, which made me happy because I got all the black beans. Sugary heaven, that is what they were! A little while after sitting down I see Megan pass by which was unexpected; she was with the Ashleys, Eddie, and Cory. Since I had not seen them all in a little while I stood up to chill with them for a bit. When Lianne was ready to go, I walked her to the edge of the park and told her some stuff that I will not repeat here just yet. Then I returned to the girls for the walk back to see Dimon who I always go too long between visits.
The Walk To Dimon's
As there usually is with this group of friends, there was some drama between Eddie and Charles over one of the Ashleys. I personally found it entertaining because I already know that nothing usually happens from everything that goes on. After a while of just chilling and bouncing around, we decided to head back to the house. While walking up Ossington, the most commonly yelled phrase came from Megan and was "take a picture!" She was loving the camera and anytime I put my hand down for a second I was told to take the next picture (which can be seen on Facebook). She kept doing the same outstretched pose each time too which made it funny. We ended up in some elementary school park on the way so they could smoke a joint and take some pictures on the playground. Kiki was giving her guy the most erotic and long lapdance that I ever remember seeing, I don't know how he was able to keep his composure. After a little 2:00am park chilling we continued to walk to the house. Dimon and James were waiting for us there and it was good times. Unfortunately I had to cut it short because it was already 3:30am and I never know if I have work the next day and so I need at least some sleep in me.
The Walk To Bryan's
Cory and I left together since he lives just a few blocks west of where I live. We started off walking which was awesome because it was a gorgeous night last night. It actually didn't dip below 20 degrees which is always a good thing, summer is upon us! We walked up Ossington to College and then started walked across College towards our homes. If a streetcar was coming we would have hopped on it, but at that time you never know if/when it will arrive. On streetcar stop poles for the past few weeks I have been noticing a number to txt that will tell you when the next streetcar will arrive, so I tried it out and got an instant txt back saying the service is not up yet. Useless. So we were walking and at every stop we would look back the street to see if it was coming. We were getting close to Spadina from Ossington before one passed us. I don't run for many reasons, and streetcar is definitely not one of them, so we let it pass and kept going. Every few seconds from when we started the walk a taxi would slow down when coming up on us or even pull over to the side to see if we needed a ride. That was thoroughly annoying. When we got to University I was just too tired to continue because of the time, lack of eating dinner, and just a lot of walking that day in my sandals, so we went to the curb to grab a cab. It was at that point that there were no cabs on the street. When we didn't want one they were swarming, now we had to wait a couple minutes for one to come. Again, useless.
Day Nine Effects
I seem to be feelings pretty evened out. The problem with that is that I think I also lost my highs. I find that I am not laughing quite as much as I used to. I guess that is what balancing does, it gets rid of the lows and the highs, that is something that I don't know if I can deal with though. I love being the guy that is always joking or laughing about something, it is who I am. I can't lose who I am because of a pill. Then again, maybe it is just the information that I found out the other day that has me not in a laughing or happy mood. It could even be the pills, since I started taking them I have felt more nostalgic and thinking of my past life which might not help anything either. It has only been just over a week that I have been on the Citalopram, but maybe I need to switch to something different. The research begins!
