So everyone has been posting cute love stories and such because of the holiday, so I thought I'd share the one that touched me that Oprah aired today.

There was an orphanned hippo that was taken to an animal preserve in Kenya. There weren't any other hippos there, and he was just a baby, and feeling rather lonely. So he got befriended by a 132 year old tortise who up until this point in his life, had pretty much hated every other living creature it had come in contact with. Apparently, something about the baby hippo did it for him, and they spend all their time together now, sharing food, strolling around, even sharing food. It was really neat to see a hippo sleeping on an outstretched tortise's neck. Multi-species, and multi-generational. Very cool.
