Updates:
AP Calculus- Tara Walker switched into my class. So that's cool. We're currently working with continous functions, limits involving infinity, and similar subjects.
Theatre- We did trust falls. First we did the basic ones everyone is familiar with. Then we did it with the person falling off the stage, with the rest of the class having their arms out as kind of a net to catch them. It was pretty fun.
AP English- Hamlet.
Fencing Club- I've seen Mr. Greco. he said I'd need a faculty advisor from the PE staff and a good number ("at least ten") of interested students. The male Pe staff said they would be busy with coaching, so i got Ms. Quick, one of the new female PE teachers, as fencing club faculty advisor. Also, I passed a sheet around in some of my classes to collect signatures of interested students. I got 20 signatures. Apparently there's also a form and stuff, but when i asked Mr. Greco about it he said I should have the faculty advisor come see him. So now I'm waiting on that.
Chemistry lab- The second half of my chem lab went well. I managed to avoid injurying myself in any way, and got a 98% yield of my copper.
Tuesday I went shopping for school supplies. Because I have a sort of obsessive color coding system, i wasn't able to find everything I needed. Apparently a purple 3-ring binder is hard to find. So I bought one off the internet.
Thursday was our first Camp Fire meeting. Apparently we're doing a big community servive project to help hurricane Katrina victims.
Today my purple 3-ring binder arrived. So now I have proper supplies for all my classes. Which is good.
Also today was the paintball Les Amis social event. People there included me, Adam, Coop, Cakes, Greg, and Andromeda. There were also a lot of people from fencing, and we played paintball in these underground tunnels. They were somewhat dimly (but not uniformly) lit, and the walls were covered in graffitti which had been intentionally added for effect. There were four cooridors right next to each other, all of which were connected to each other at the ends. These cooridors were refered to as cooridors 1-4. 1 was pretty much clear of obstacles and cover, save for rows of pillars along the sides. At the far end of cooridor 1, there was a large wall which one could hide behind for cover, as well as a doorway which led to all the other cooridors. Cooridors 2-4 all had various sorts of cover in them. At the far end of the arena, there were some walls and grates and such that served as cover, but similar cover did not exist at the other end.
At the beginning of the game, one team enters at one end of cooridor 1, and the other enters at the other.

(Apparently the spacing doesn't work well on LJ. Copy and paste the above mess into notepad)
One team enter at the doorway marked a, and the other where it is marked b. The area drawn to the right is sort of a home base/out of bounds. While coordidors 2-4 are drawn as empty, they contained complex arrangements of barrels, boxes, and other cover and obstacles.
For the first couple of games, were were in the same teams. I was on the odd team, as well as Coop, Andromeda, Noah, Brian, and three people I didn't really know that well. For most of these games, odd team entered at a, and even team at b.
First game, me and Coop ended up at a doorway firing at an opponent down cooridor 3. I got hit in the arm, and Coop was hit almost immediately after. Our team did end up winning the round, though.
Second game, the other team stormed cooridor 1, so me and Coop ended up defending it. It was awesome. Coop got behind the barrier, and found there was a space under it that he could fire through as well as firing over the barrier or to the sides. I took my position in the doorway at the point I marked x on the map, using the wall as cover while occasional peaking through the doorway to fire at the enemy. The two major people advancing on our position were Skot and Adam. Several times I felt paintball whizzing past me, and heard and felt them splattering on the wall behind me. Adam would pin me down with a volley of fire, then I would return fire as he ran between and behind pillars for cover. Eventually I hit Adam. Skot toppled the barrier and hit Coop, but I didn't notice so I thought we still had that position. As I fired at another guy heading up the cooridor, Skot shot me in the chest. Our team won the game in the end.
Third game, there was talk on our team of a strategy which involved four team members going down cooridor 1. Unfortunately, this plan didn't actually get implemented, so as I was near the doorway to cooridor 3 and the guy next to me was covering cooridor 2, Shawn came from cooridor 1 and ambushed us. He ended up hitting six people that game, resulting in a victory for the even team.
Fourth game things started to go downhill. Maybe I accidently switched masks with someone else. Anyways, our strategy this game was to simply use our defensive position to our advantage and let the enemy come to us. Once the game started, my mask quickly fogged up, and I couldn't see at all clearly. This resulted, when I thought I saw someone down cooridor 1, with me firing wildly and accidently hitting a referee. Then my gun jammed. And I ended up dealing with Greg and others in the back area, hiding behind cover in the dark where I absolutely could not see them, while I was in the light with a gun that wouldn't fire.
Fifth game, teams switched sides, my mask fogged up again, and i ended up advancing with some teammates up cooridor 3. they were ahead of me, and I could barely see 5 feet in front of my own face, so I didn't reaaly help any since I'd probably just end up accidently shooting one of them. Then the enemy managed to advance up cooridor 4 and loop around and get me from behind. On my way back for the next game, I accidently tripped over a cement pillar lying on the ground (remember, it was dim and I could barely see due to my fogged up mask). I banged up my elbow and sprained my thumb.
Sixth game, I had put more anti-fog on my glasses and mask, but they still fogged up and became soaked with condensation. I ended up holding a defensive position with no activity until time ran out and the game ended anyways.
Then we had pizza and pop, and had a look at the other arena. It was much smaller, and more well lit.
With my elbow and thumb hurt from my earlier fall, and feeling that a paintball to either one of these areas would be a bitch, and frustrated with the fogged-up masks anyways, I decided to just sit out of the next couple of games. People split between the unstairs and downstairs, and downstairs teams turned to teh moose caboose vs. everyone else. teh moose caboose consistantly lost, including the first game when they didn't get a single opponent out and andromeda accidently mistook two opponents for Adam and Cakes. Instead of shooting the enemy in their unsuspecting backs, she walked up to them and got hit when they turned out to not be Adam and Cakes.
The last couple of games were capture the flag (with one flag in the middle, and the idea being to grab the flag and return to the side where the opposing team entered at the beginning of the game).
Despite sitting out the last couple of games, i had a really good time.
