TV Show: Rookie Blue

So this one actually ties in to something I wanted to post about.  denorios has a meme on her LJ, one of those pick a question and I'll answer, so I picked #22 - Are you one of those fans who can’t watch anything without shipping?

I had been meaning to watch "Rookie Blue" forever and I just never got around to it.  Three weekends ago, I finally downloaded the first season so I could give it a whirl. I ended up watching season 2 that weekend, and then downloaded and played catch up with season 3 (which is finishing up this Thursday).

This show has quickly taken over my life and my Twitter. I joined a fanboard and I haven't been a member of one of those since YTDaW! (I joined on August 16 and I have 204 posts. Seriously.)

Within the time it took to watch the first two episodes, I became a Sandy/McSwarek shipper. Seriously. I'm reading fanfic, watching Youtube vids, speculating over spoilers and promos and just generally losing my shit over this couple.

But this made me realize, I don't watch a single show where I don't ship a couple. Not one. But I don't go out and join fanboards and get all crazy about my couples either. Josh/Donna, Grissom/Sara, Snape/Hermione, and now Sam/Andy...there's just something super special about those characters/couples.

This show is awesome and really good.  If you're not watching it, you should be.  The writing and acting is amazing and the cast is incredible. They're all on Twitter and they're very interactive with the fans, which is super awesome. And everyone who meets them only has the nicest things to say about them. There is seriously nothing I don't like about this show (well, except for the drama surrounding my ship but that's par for the course).

The only downside to this show is that each season is only 13 episodes long and it only airs during the summer. Hello, nine month haitus.
