Continuity errors

In preparation for the release of "The Lost Hero" (I can't believe it's only a week away!!!) I've been rereading the PJO series for the 3rd time, and I cannot stress how much I LOVE this series

in the demigod files, silena beauregard has black hair and brown eyes. in the last olympian, she has brown hair and blue eyes, lol.

And in the official companion, she's described as having blonde hair and blue eyes. Given the three wildly different descriptions of her hair/eye color I just assumed that she's magically able to alter her appearance, but continuity error is probably more likely.
