I don't go in for that "Price Is Right" closest-but-not-over crap, which is why I said "closest" in the first place. :p In fact, I have 65 pairs of shoes (including winter boots, workout shoes, and flip flops).
Honorable mentions go to heyfoureyes (60), kaygigi (70), and tomthedog (71).
Funnily, wrdnrd's thought process closely mirrored my own--I did in fact think I had about 80 pairs of shoes, and was surprised to discover I was only in the 60s when I actually counted them.
