the mall is its own country
I went to the mall with _becquerel_ today and bought a t-shirt that says "you wanna see my favorite yoga position?" I'm a little embarrassed. I don't even do yoga. But I just really liked the cut, and okay, yes, I am a little appalling sometimes. One more article of clothing to remind myself not to wear to any meetings with my advisor.
...I also got one that says "beauty AND brains." They were on sale, okay?
At Wet Seal, where I made these purchases, they were playing a dance mix of the theme from "Brokeback Mountain" on the sound system. It was followed by a lounge version of the Spiderman theme. I could not make this shit up.
Then we went to Claire's and I bought braids of fake hair in various bright colors. Pinned into my own only slightly faded Cherry Bomb locks, they create a very Rainbow Brite effect. It pleases me.
