I must say that if I were in your position I would have cried, too. Lily and I just found out yesterday that we are going to be godparents to her friend's little boy, Aidan. He is simply adorable and I have already put him to sleep once, not by my boring nature, rather, by my fatherly instincts of making him do funny dances. I have already planned out what books i will present to him at certain stages of his life. I must admit that I will do the same with my son. At 11 he'll begin reading Harry Potter. At 14 or 15, he will be introduced to JD Salinger and begin contemplating our role in this world after reading Catcher in the Rye...he will then question everything and begin listening to The Cranberries, The Counting Crows, Blue October, etc...At 17 he will continue his education of Man against Man by reading The Fountainhead...You get the picture, he will become me!

I must say that this new role is good for Lily since we have been in a bit of a rut lately in both personal and professional arenas. In the past two months I have learned a lot more about myself as a man and a husband and hope that i'm doing the right things.
