I was in Toys backwards R Us yesterday with Kyle, Becky, and Ben finding presents for Kegan's birthday when I saw the Bratz Dolls display. I thought it was rather frightening how racy these toys were, so I decided to give MGA Entertainment(the company that markets the toys), some feedback. Here it is:
I was walking through the local Toys 'R Us recently and came across the large display of your Bratz dolls, which has nearly surpassed the Barbie display in size. Upon further examination of your dolls, I was shocked to see that your toys, clearly marketed towards pre-teen girls, are scantily clad with incredibly disproportionate body shapes that would be impossible for a girl to acheive. I can only imagine when young girls see these toys, they'll want to be exactly like them, meaning that when they are older, they will buy expensive clothes, act and dress like sluts, and develop eating disorders. I also came across Bratz Boyz, which we almost as disturbing. Koby says he's called the "The Panther" because he's always on the prowl. I was glad to see this, because it means the girls that will become sluts after playing with your toys will have boys to womanize and take advantage of them. What I had seen so far had already made me a little nauseous, but what I came across next almost made me lose my lunch. If you hadn't guessed already, I'm talking about your Bratz Babyz. Now I guess these "babyz" are different, but I didn't think regualr infants could have a passion for much of anything, let alone fashion. I didn't think it was possible, but the people at MGA Entertainment have managed to create provocative looking babies. And people wonder why there are so many child molesters in this country. Now you might say that it is a parents responsibility to teach their kids how to act, but I don't have confidence in the majority of parents in this world to do so.
Now I'm not expecting to bring down your worldwide brainwashing of young girls and boys, but I at least hope to make one or two people realize how awful these toys are, and maybe even make them feel a little guilty.
Supposedly I will be getting a response in 24 business hours. I'll post the response if it's any good.
