Mucho quick update, before knitting:
* Back at work. It's...bearable. Boring, but bearable.
* Arctic Monkeys gig tomorrow! *bounce bounce*
* On that note...saw Fleet Foxes live at San Fran Bathhouse last week. Magic. If rather claustrophic (here was me thinking Matt and I were the only ones in Wellington who knew they existed. Guess not). Guessing only sarahsez00 will care about this. Here, have a song. They sound kinda...Neil Young-esque.
* The Baby Blanket That Ate My Life is FINISHED! Hallelujer. It is at Mum's for a wash and steam press before being sent down to Christchurch. By the way, the baby in question is a wee boy called Daniel. SO. CUTE. Piccies to come.
* On that note...I'm on Ravelry. Took my time. ;P Have already added albauk and screwthepast. Anyone else...friend me?
* I have my first proper idea for a writing project since...a while ago. Quite exciting, really. More later.
* Matt and myself are having an alcohol-free January. Seems to be working well so far. :)
* Reading Candy by Luke Davies, on which the movie (my latest obsession. You will probably hear me babble a bit) is based. 'Tis good. Much darker than the film. Oh yeah, and it's my plan to read a bit more this year. Don't think I finished one book in '08. Shame on my name.
* I love anord. She is my music fairy.
* I'm...happy (even though my Facebook status would say otherwise...got over that) I actually feel excited about life. Was a total box of fluffies last week- colours seemed sharper, food taster better, the sun was that much warmer, my music was just that much more amazing. Like I say, I can even stomach work at the work. Must be the extra meds kicking in. Me likey.
