* Resolutions for '08 kept: 3.**

In all, not a bad effort. Resolutions for 2009 are as follows:

1) Find a new job, and get the fuck out of Ministerials. Sooner rather than later.

2) Be a good deal kinder to myself. Which includes not taking a metaphorical ash plant to my shoulder every time I make a mistake, or something doesn't quite go to plan. And not comparing myself to every second person I meet. And not taking myself, or life, so damn seriously.

3) On that note, take better care of my body. Get more sleep. Consume less caffeine and sugar. Eat tonnes more fruit and veg. Excercise more. Stop eating on the run. Don't screw up on my meds. Etc etc.

4) Keep. Room. Tidy.

5) Carrying on from my last set of resolutions...write more, dangnabbit. All them ideas aren't going to turn into epic masterpieces by themselves. Writing more also includes adding to my journalism portfolio, and actually updating this accursed thing more often. With more intelligent and substantial posts.

6) As roadtomanderlay said...knit PROLIFICALLY. And go to knitting group every Monday, without fail.

7) Manage my finances a touch better. Actually use my savings accounts!

8) Be less socially-retarded. Actually make an effort to spend time with my mates.

9) Spend tonnes more time with the whanau, especially Rose and Henry.

10) Be a bit less clingy with Matt, and give the boy a bit more space. I smother him a bit much at times. Just cos I'm inexperienced, y'know. Also, compartmentalise a bit better, so his illness doesn't stress me out so much. And...keep working on our relationship, keep talking through everything, be more active together and keep on lovin'.

Hold me to it, guys.

Aw, and New Year's Eve? Brilliant. Debauched party was...debauched. Demolished far too many yummy cocktails. anord and I managed to devour an entire bottle of Medori between us (so good with orange juice, by the way). We yelled about music a lot. And played with sparklers. And bounced around to the Mountain Goats at midnight. And played Steph's hand drum. And got taught to bellydance by lovely Nik. And talked about our future wedding dresses, and made plans to set up a pirate radio station. And finally, after all these years, I had someone to snog after the countdown. :) Good times.

Worst hangover ever, though. Owies.

*Mum and Bill. I have about 6 parents.
