Happy Meme- Day 8.
Today's been a bit...blah. Humdehum good things...will try and think of eight.
* Ummm...just got two more presents to buy. Huzzah. Got all of Matt's presents sorted, minus the beanie (keep arsing up on the decreases...grrr...). He bought me my present today. :D And, it looks like his Mum's gone and got me a wee something as well! Which is very sweet. :)
* Cuba Street. Even though I'm practically living at the top of it, I can never get enough of the place. I mean, it's got the Bucket Fountain! And vintage shops! And so many cute cafes! And Eyeball Kicks, which has Pac Man necklaces and awesome faux goth prints! And hipsters in fedoras and waiscoats, and girls in granny dresses and coloured tights! And flamenco guitarists! And emos who offer you sugar cubes! And that art gallery up the top that has all these brilliant modern art exhibitions! And San Fran Bathhouse! And that chick with rainbow dreads, who stops randomly in And Slow Boat records and Real Groovy! the middle of the street to blow bubbles! And...and...yeah, it's awesome. ;)
* More great sex. Ahem. ;P And more cuddles and cornchips.
* Feeling pretty. Which, considering I've been feeling a little self-concious these past few days (and considering I got a massive lecture about eating better from the mater the other night), and considering my somewhat checkered relationship with my body, is pretty powerful and awesome. :)
* Yummy yummy gluten-free double-chocolate brownies from the mobile cafe for breakfast. ;P Yeah, shuddup.
*
Candy, which I watched today with Matt and his flatties. Incredible film. Wouldn't say it made me happy per se, as it's pretty heartbreaking, and made me cry and clutch Matt in several places. But, it's amazing...and actually a beautiful love story. Check out the poem the leading lady (Abbie Cornish- very cute and talented) wrote for her husband (Heath Ledger- brilliant, as always) on the walls of their flat. And the scene with the honey. One day I hope to produce a work as beautiful as that...
* "Anthems For A Seventeen-Year-Old Girl", by Broken Social Scene. Made of fabulous. Can't stop listening.
* Two and a half more days of work for the year. The yay.
And...that's it for happies for a while. Liked how this thing actually got me to update semi-regularly. Wonder how long that will last...
