Pressure!!!
I have to watch the backlog of my DVR tonight and part of tomorrow. We are switching companies and my precious backlog will be toast! Anyone watching Warehouse 13? I've DVR'd them. Is it worth making a timeslot in my short amount of time? Anyone?
It's sad how often I DVR a show and never watch it. I lost interest in Heroes and deleted an entire season without watching. I don't make much time for television anymore.
Switching the services from Comcast to ATT Uverse. I'm not expecting much in the way of improved customer service, but I'll be able to watch any recording from any box, which is a nice plus. Husband is pleased with the ESPN U addition to the lineup for the upcoming football season. I'm crossing my fingers about the internet connection. Comcast had beat out all others on that, and I can't stand losing connectivity. (Is that word in Webster's?)
My proud moment of the day was creating a haiku for someone from their word poetry window cling kit for their Mini Cooper. Apparently, the car company hands these little treats out to owners of their vehicles. Nifty!
I'm reading the Jim Butcher series, I think it's referred to as the Codex Alera series. The one about the furycrafting of the elements and whatnot. It's very good. The link between Tavi and Kitai? Genius. Love. I love how the villians are heroes and the heroes are villains depending on the wind of politic and chance. I wonder who I'll be rooting for in the end, besides Tavi that is.
David swam at Meet of Champs last weekend. Brought home two medals, a silver, and a bronze. He had one really awful race where he blew the backstroke flipturn, but it was priceless because he learned a very valuable lesson. It doesn't matter how many hours of practice they put in, it isn't until they've failed for a reason they are supposed to have drilled for that it sticks with them. Experience is gold, and worth more to us than an additional medal. He came through the disappointment of that like a true champion.
Now he moves on to State. He's ready and swimming against bigger fish, should be interesting.
I've been in a vacuum as far as music goes. Too much running around and haven't sat still long enough to listen to anything, tv, radio, net. Nada. What's new on your playlist?
Does anyone read fic anymore? Got a recommendation? I don't even think I care what fandom it's from.
