ok...you want to quote the Bible...we can play this game ...I just think you should know what you're talking about before you start. You know those little letters ( [i] and [j]) you put next to the words. Go down on the page of your Bible and look at what it says. I don't have a Bible handy, so I don't know what the actual Hebrwe word for it is, but in Hebrew, which is what the Bible was originally written in, the word means part. Not rib, but part of a whole. Adam...the word, not the name, means mud, so when it says what God made was called Adam...it isn't the same as when your momma named you Adam...it's saying God called it mud. And eve was known as, from the mud. Just to clarify things.
Now...your quote says "she took some and gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it" I don't believe it says "she took some and shoved it down the throat of her poor innocent husband who wanted no part of it."

no...Adam knew what the fruit was...he was just as aware that what he was doing was wrong as she was. and just because you don't want to see that footnote, doesn't mean it's not there.
