did you see what you just said? Sure a girl can climb her way up the corporate ladder by looking cute. The reason is because there are men above her allowing her to do so. Do you think it's other women allowing this to happen? Certainly not. And it doesn't matter how intelligent these women are...they're getting there because like you said, they're wearing short skirts and dropping pencils. What about the unfortunate looking girls who spend all their time in the library? If a guy doesn't find her attractive enough to hire as his secretary does she just get stuck in the mail room. And I'm sure attractive men could use the same tactic to get ahead (no pun intended) if women were the ones in the position of power, however, 99% of the time, we're not.
I think this is such an amazing discussion we're all having as friends who haven't really spoken or gotten together in a while...but my post that started all this...wasn't an attack on boy kind...it was a journal entry about a specific instance that just occurred in my life and you boys, being my best friends and knowing my track record, can't deny that what I said is true. I'm not saying this is the way things work in the world and I certainly wasn't commenting on society...I as saying, in my life, this is the way things have worked for me. I didn't mean to start all this, although I must say, hearing from all you guys had been worth it
