#10 Working Stiff

How did you get where you are today professionally? Did you always want to do the job you do now? Did you just fall into it? Do you have dreams of promotion? Another profession?

Before I joined the Army, I was thinking about working for the FBI within their Behavioral Analysis Unit.  It's naturally a good fit for me.  I had high goals for myself and I wanted to work on a national level.  When I was discharged, I'd had enough of that national level.  Instead, I wanted to fight the war at home.  I had questions that I wanted answers to and there were plenty of opportunities to find my answers in my home city.  I didn't need to go anywhere else.

I started out in Narcotics and did well there, but I started to become bored with it.  Not long after, though, Major Case recruited me and I've been there since.  At this point, my chances of promotion to Sergeant are slim to nil.  A couple years ago, if you'd asked me where I wanted to go, I would have told you that I had plans to sit for the Sgt. exam.
