Alcoholism is big with law enforcement. Do you drink? Alot? Are you an alcoholic? Why? What parts of the job are connected to it? Or is it all personal? Talk about it!

When I used to be a field agent, drinking was occasionally required for undercover work, but you had to be savvy about it. Obviously, you weren’t going to be in tip-top shape on the booze, are you? I remember one time I had to pose as a jilted bride at a bar looking for casual sex. Charming. But to look the part, you have to accept drinks of stranger. Thank god for the technology of the dip test to make sure your drink hasn’t been laced with a roofy.

I’ve never been a huge drinker. I prefer to keep my control as much as I can. That’s not to say I don’t get drunk now and again on my own time. I guess the biggest risk with alcohol in any work situation is the dreaded 'get pissed and sleep with your colleague'. Not exactly related directly to the work, but in my eyes, it’s a risk everyone can fall into. Have I done it? Yeah, I have, but my lips are sealed as to who.
