Pre-V Day post
Aaaaand it's that time of year again. Cupids and chocolates and teddy bears and cute couples. And then the singles who hate even the mention of the holiday, because it reminds them of how lonely they (we) are and just how depressing that can be in the face of such an overrated holiday.
Tomorrow will be my second Valentine's Day as a single woman. I haven't been single on February 14th since high school. I get so lonely sometimes. Every time I think I'm getting somewhere with my (admittedly half-hearted) search for a lasting relationship, it ends up going nowhere. But maybe that's my own fault.
Oh, well. Maybe next year I'll actually have a Valentine, a reason to celebrate. For now, it's Netflix and sweatpants.
