Lyrics:
Lost his own, taken down
All his songs
'Till his all alone
And all our love was harmed
Except for you

I'm only young, favorite son
Say you tried, take it back
To where you belonged
And all the things you say
Still untrue

We saw the green fields
Turn into homes
Such lonely homes
We saw the green fields
Turn into homes
such lovely homes

Do what you want to do

I was digging up, sorting out
Only to built a song alone
'Till you came along
And all my love was there
Just all for you

And in the darkest time
We crossed the line, made a song
'Cause all the talk was wrong
And all you ever won
Can still be true

We saw the green fields
Turn into homes
Such lonely homes
We saw the green fields
Turn into stone
Such lonely homes

We saw the green fields
Turn into homes
Such lovely homes
We saw the green fields
Turn into stone
Such lonely stone

Now all my love is out
It's all for you
It's not a love song
It's the last song
For you

Notes:
  • Because I lack both patience and hard drive space, this vid was made using only episodes 02x04 "Daddy Hurt Mommy?" and 02x06 "Surviving the Fall" (+ previously-on clips), which oddly enough turned out to the benefit of the vid.  I mean, I'd have loved some more clips of the case file, and maybe one of Dr. Alexie, but the limited clips kept me from being overly literal in my choices, and the important thematic elements still came through, I thought.
  • I can't take credit for most of the edits during the "digging up, sorting out" verse - I pulled it straight out of the previously-on clips, planning to trim it down, but it fit really well as it was, so I left it.
  • There are a couple glitchy bits - the reason I haven't fixed them is partly because I'm not certain how to do so without throwing off the timing of the vid, but mostly because I think the only reason I'm seeing them is because I've been watching them repeatedly for the better part of two days.  So, if you spot any, give me the heads up?  Then I can keep them in mind if I ever go back to tinker.
Edit: Fixed malfunctioning cut-tag!  Sorry!
