Stalling the Holidays
In Manila for less than 24 hours. I've got enough time to repack my bags, check email, hug Lucia and Alfonso, catch up with Cirio, and pick my ticket up from the travel agent before heading for India. I don't have time to check up on Fly Girl's wedding preps, do any substantive work wrap Xmas presents, play pool, sleep for 8 hours.
I can't enjoy the Xmas season just yet. I wanna. The lights in Manila are pretty shabby this year (everyone's trying to cut down on electricity costs) but the Xmas season is so on. And I want to be part of it. But at the rate I'm going, I can only relax and enjoy the holidays once this India trip is over -- about 4 hours before Xmas eve. Thank goodness for my talent for buying random crap stuff for people -- otherwise, I'd have no Xmas presents for family and friends!
Need to get off this train of thought. I'm beginning to be really whiny.
But promise to self: You are going to sleep for 10 hours straight, do nothing all day, play pool with your friends, get a facial, manicure and pedicure, get properly excited about Fly Girl's wedding and enjoy what's left of the Xmas season the moment you get back home.
