Woooohooo!
So, I landed myself a part-time job at BIG 5 Sporting Goods store today! The manager seemed really cool -- She told me that when she first looked at my application, she thought I could be a manager trainee, but then she saw that I'm 20, and you have to be 21 to get that position. She told me that I seemed to have good people skills, I had a lot of experience with sporting goods, and that I seemed energetic, which is what they were looking for.
So, she hired me to be a cashier, 15-20 hours a week... I decided when I got back that whether it be part-time or full-time, I would take either. I'll only get paid $7.45 an hour, but that's alright for starters. I get 20% off of all regular items and an additional 10% off of sale items. AND they supply free snacks and sports drinks for breaks. :D
I have an interview on Monday with Old Navy, so I'm going to see if the BIG 5 manager can let me know what days I'd be working there, so maybe I can get another part-time job!
So, after my interview/hiring, I went and got 6 shirts and 1 pair of pants from ROSS for only $77! I also got myself a new pair of work-shoes for $40 from SEARS.
Things are going great with Jeff and I, especially now that I'm back home. :D :D
