Re: last night - am not unhappy specifically about being benched, because I kind of expected it. I'm just not good enough and I was stupid enough to get myself injured. What really hurts is the realisation that all the effort I've put in over the season, desperately trying to improve, trying to be good enough, hasn't paid off. I've wasted all this time and effort for nothing. I can train all I like but I'm still just not good enough. People keep saying to me that I made a contribution to get the team to the grand final, but what's that worth if you're not good enough when it comes to the really important game?
Also, my dad came out to watch me play, and I wasn't good enough to get on court for him, and I've let him down yet again. I just want to do something he can be proud of instead of disappointing him by never being good enough.
