Turns out my cousin's dad(uncle #1)has had Hodgkin's lymphoma for a year and didn't tell anyone. Now he's in the hospital with tumors in his neck the size of lemons and the prognosis does not look good.
And the reason he didn't say anything? He'd rather his family think he's an asshole than know he was sick. I guess it explains a lot, like why he's ignored my cousins and his grandson.
He's my aunt's ex husband, but they were married for twenty years and he's always going to be uncle#1 to me.
Of all the people to get cancer, he is the last person I would have expected. Pray for him, please.
In other news, I'm leaving tomorrow for a few days while I visit the best daddy in the world (read: mine) in DC. I will have limited access to computer/internet but I will try to check my email when I can. Hopefully lj's notifications will be working so any comments I get will be recieved and hopefully replied back to.
