I thought about this, and yes there are the obvious ones, Supernatural, Lost, Buffy, but there is one show that stands out beyond all the rest.
Rod Serling is the reason I want to be a writer. As far as I'm concerned, nothing will ever beat The Twilight Zone, and every science fiction/horror/drama show owes the Twilight Zone. My favorite episode, Five Characters in Search of an Exit is totally how LOST should end.
