Why? Well I think the Grandfather says it best, "Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles... " Also, swords, men in black, accents, brilliant satire.It's been my favorite movie since I was ten. If I ever have a son, I'm going name him Westley. I know every word by heart. When I'm bored and have nothing else to do, I replay it in my head. It's one of the few movies where it's just as good as the book, and a lot of it has to do with the fact William Goldman wrote both the novel and the screenplay.

Mitch: Yeah I heard he's death.

Mitch: Yeah
Me: Death? Actual Death? Mr. Grim Reaper I'm here to take your soul, Death?
Mitch: No, no, can't hear ehhh, death! death!"
Me: Ohhh you mean deaf. That makes a lot more sense. and yeah, I knew that.
Me: Except now I'm picturing Lou Ferrigno as Death. Cloaked in black with his scythe. He turns green whenever any soul evades him. Death is one guy you do not want to piss off.You would not like him when he's angry.
Mitch: Genius.
Of course this is all silly, as everyone knows Death is a pale Swedish man who plays Chess. (And that's my other favorite movie)
