In the past four or five months, I've listened to the entire Black Company series by Glen Cook on audio, and most of Simon R. Green's Deathstalker series. The Deathstalker series was actually done by Graphic Audio with live actors and sound effects. They're probably abridged and rearranged in some way, but if I was really picky I would have read rather than listened to them. Graphic Audio also did the first few Deathlands and I'd do a lot for the complete series... except pay $1,500 for the whole thing. I want to listen to them, but not that badly.

So... I need a new series to listen to next. In recent memory I've done A Song of Ice and Fire, Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas books, Percy Jackson, and the Millenium Trilogy (The Girl Who...). I think it was right after I finished the Swedish books that I dove into the 10-book Black Company after which I wanted some space opera, hence the Deathstalker series. For some reason I really associate Deathstalker with dangermousie-did you make a post or two about them? They hit just the buttons I wanted but I'm on the penultimate book and I need to queue up the next series. Audio books are vital to my iPhone games and cleaning activities.

Also, I'm watching SPEC from darkeyedwolf's posts. Damn show inspired me to eat 4 orders of dumplings on Saturday night. They were tasty, though.
