I just purchased my ticket for Serenity. Fandango got itself together and now lists theaters comfortably within my range. I'll be seeing the 7:20 show Friday evening at Gallery Place, which is walking distance from work. I'm not so in love with the show that I hunted down any midnight airings Thursday/Friday, but I haven't seen a movie the night it came out since Kill Bill. That was more of a spontaneous gesture, though: I'd woken up early and was internetting around, didn't have plans for the evening and decided to see it. I've been
planning to see Serenity on its premiere night for a while.
I'm a little disappointed with myself for going out last night, I should've been watching the last two DVDs. Especially "Ariel" since I only saw it once and I know Serenity is mostly a River story. I could watch them on Thursday, you say? Nope, I'm lending the DVDs to one of my supervisors, and she lives in Texas. She's here for the week and tomorrow's her last day here, I need to bring them in. I may just mail them to her, but that's a waste of money. I wonder if I could sneak them into the interoffice mail that goes out daily to the Austin office. Stick 'em in an envelope, no one'll ever know, right?
