...and it's only 6.24am

Okay, sorry, this is not a happy post, this is a grumpy-wtf-is-up-with-my-world post. It may or may not be connected to today's early start at work (7.15am). See, I got up and had a shower, as usual, and as usual I had shower-thoughts (your mind is freed up for them, when you're doing things that don't require concentration). And ( Read more... )

First things first:-

(sorry I don't have one of Doyle yet.)

If you don't get to Germany for a Christmas market this year, you're very welcome to visit with me in February 2018 and I'll show you around the museums and interesting buildings of Munich, or if finances still won't permit that, you'd be very welcome to visit in December 2018 and I'll take you to the Christmas markets in Munich and Regensburg.

p.s. I know it's not the same as going to Germany for a Christmas market, but my little sister speaks very highly of the Winter Wonderland they have in Hyde Park every December which includes a big German Christmas market :-

Oh, thank you! Very nice Bodie. *g* I like to think he's waiting for an assignation with Doyle - they're off to try a restaurant together, all dressed up under guise of expecting to meet their dates there - who then won't turn up, of course... *g*

And thank you! A long weekend in Munich has been on my radar for ages too, and that was something else I thought I'd be able to do from this job (nice and handy for Birmingham airport, with nice flights to Germany... *sighs*). If I can get something sorted out sooner rather than later, then maybe I can still chance visits... and if not, then I shall look forward to next year!

I've wandered through the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland before now - it was much noisier than I expected at the time! The one I like is the Christmas Market on the Embankment, with the river beside you and the strangely cosy feel it has. I suppose it's really not very big, and the river sort of confines it, but... yeah, maybe I should see if I can afford a night in London at a YHA this December, if nothing else... Thank you - good reminder!
