Gosh, it's been almost exactly a month since I last posted, which means I should really post today so that it doesn't turn out to have been a month since I last posted, if you see what I mean... My posting calendar for this year must look rubbish

I have been very away, I know... hopefully a bit more back to normal now. Sort of normal. The lack of coherency that passes for normal... *g* I must catch up on your Tokyo posts too!

I haven't posted for a lot longer than you... Though I'm aware it isn't a competition. *g* Back in UK for now but probably going out to Portugal during October for the grape harvest. Still no real organisation or dates involved... (Though there are spare beds and the bathroom door now locks so progress is happening.) Autumn seems advanced here (to me) and sunset comes much earlier than I expect, which is confusing because Portugal isn't that far south and is in the same time zone. I have written a post but have not sorted out the pics to go with it yet.

Heeeee! You certainly have not, madam, and a lack of internet in Portugal is no excuse! I've been surprised by sunset here recently too - I've always felt before that there's a sort of gradual, mellow decline in late nights into autumn (whereas they arrive one day with a bang! in spring, somehow, as if someone one day flicks a switch), but this year... maybe someone got bored and flicked the switch at the other end too, cos it's suddenly dark early! Well, I suppose it isn't, cos it's still light at 5pm, but... so much earlier!

Yeay for progress in Portugal though - and for grape harvest too, what a cool thing to have!
