Holiday Day Four - On the Road Again

Aug 23, 2010 23:50

I can't believe that this is technically Day Four already, but it is... slept in again (well, for me) despite going to bed quite early - lovely, it was! And also makes me think that I really need a better bed at home... Hey ho!

But today was my favourite kind of holiday day - road trip! Into Little Car we clambered and off down south into Cornwall and south and south and south and...

...stopped for lunch at a pub - a Ploughman's with Cornish cheeses for me (I do like cheese... *g*) and half a local pint as well (something Bay) which was jolly good. Then on south and south and...

...and there was our cornishcat waiting for us! Yeay! And then there were three! *g*

Brief pause for tea and coffee and chat and locally made lemon drizzle cake and then we went off for a walk...

...to Perranuthnoe, where the sea was blue and the waves were white, and there were surfers out there, and the tide was in...

We walked a bit further, and this was looking back to Perranuthnoe...

...and this was looking over to St Michael's Mount, which I always love seeing...

...and it was especially gorgeous, I thought, with the sun behind it and the sea silver around it, and the Scillies helicopter flying in and out (but the helicopter bit is just me, I know... *g*) And how amazing is it to be able to just walk over to the seaside? How much do I love being in Cornwall, and visiting our cornishcat? Very much indeed... *g*

And then we wandered home and there was more chat and more fab eating and drinking and chatting, and Pros-y pondering and... Just general Pros-y mate-y happiness. Yeay. *g* And of course thinking about Birdwatcher's Guide cos how could Pros-y fans in Cornwall not talk about our Lizzie's gorgeous stories... *sighs happily for our lads in Cornwall*...
