Me Me Icon Meme again... and stuff...
First of all, a big hooray cos I finished marking in time - although they've already given me extra, and we're not even at the bonus deadline yet, never mind the regular one... *g* But yeay, officially finished!
Second of all - they missed out the whole Northwest Passage thing from Empire of the Seas, which waah, but still it was kind of a decent series, and the first one I've watched like that for ages, so... *g* It's all about the water... Thames Barges next... *vbg*
Third of all, I don't often watch Jonathan Ross, but it turned out John Barrowman was on tonight, and since I missed him doing all his talk shows when I was in Alaska, I thought I'd leave him on, and... heee! I was kind of watching through squinted eyes, but he just always seems to be having the best time - and heee for him pretending to faint when Shahrukh Khan kissed him, and hee for him singing Copacabana, and being excited about the whole Desperate Housewives thing, and talking about TW and DW, and... yeah. Some people just do make you feel happy just by being. *g*
And fourthly of all... greengerbil gave me these five icons to talk about, so...

My aurora one is one of the very first icons I had - and I even made it myself... *g* Nicked the picture, worked out how to do text in Paint and everything... *g* Cos it was a kind of slanted light of course, and I was in Alaska when I set up my lj, and it went with the name and with the place, and I adore the northern lights (and I'm sure I'd adore the southern version if I ever had a chance to see it... *g*) And it looks like so many scenes that I actually did see when I was up in Alaska. Best thing about having an outhouse - being forced to go outside in the middle of a clear, cold night, the northern lights dancing above you. Took me months after getting back to stop looking up into the night sky, just in case they might be out... and when I go back they'll be one of the first things I look out for... *g*
The second pic is another icon I've had for ages - I just loved that pic of Doyle, the way he's staring right at us, and that there's strangely intense and yet... peaceful? In the right place? about his expression... and his hair's in that lovely loose curl that I like best, a la Purging... Another one made by me (ie, I took the pic, made it the right size for an icon... *g*)
The third icon is another one of my early ones - from snarkyllama, and I just adore it... Doyle is just... so pretty when he's in pain! I'm sorry, he just is! And of course the cap is from the ep where Bodie comes racing desperately to find him, and I'm a sucker for scruffy boys, and heee for the gorgeous understatement of the caption. I don't much go for captions on my icons, I like the pics to speak for themselves, but... heee! *g*
Ah - my SU26 icon... At the very first airshow I ever went to, Will Curtis took off in this plane (a Sukhoi 25 - Russian-built aerobatics plane, tiny thing - bicycle with wings, my favourite kind of plane *g*), flew it upside down about 20 feet above the runway, and then turned it 90 degrees and flew straight up into the sky. To say I was gobsmacked and totally in love... and here's my lj entry here and also here with added vid... So I had to have Road Angel as my plane icon... *g*
And finally - smiley lads, cos there can never be enough smiley lads, touching each other, and being happy... by crimson_37, who has always had the best icons... (My favourite being the giant finger that pokes Bodie and makes him fall over... I'm desperate to post it for people to see cos it was ace, but I don't think it was ever up for offer, so I daren't... (I'm heartbroken that her lj account just comes up as inactive now too...)
And my, it's half-past midnight, so... bed!
