Well at about 4:30 p.m. or so we lost power again. We had it back since Saturday night but then lost it again for about 2 hours or so.It's back on now - I think we got it back around 6:45 p.m. or so my son says that was the time it came back on. I wasn't really paying close attention. I finally got to finish watching the dvd I was watching when it went out. I hope it stays back on this time.
I jumped the gun and freaked out and went and bought some more ice. Especially after I heard there were 6 transformers that blew out in the area of Smithville and Rt. 35. I was thinking- I better get more ice before I can't get any. I ran (drove) down to Kroger and bought 3 small bags. They were out of the large ones.
Then I came home and put them in the coolers but didn't put stuff from the frig and freezer in to the coolers right away. Then we got our power back. Oh somewhere in between I cooked up the hamburger I bought the other day. I used my neighbors stove for that. I made myself some taco salad.
I sure hope it stays on this time. I also hope the guy on the street connected to mine has power now too. He was one of the few ones that still didn't have power. I thought he did. It's weird how it's so sporadic throughout. Everyone on a street may have power but one or two don't or one side of a street does and the other doesn't I know people are starting to really get frustrated. What gets me is they want to raise our rates now to pay for it all. Figures.
Oh- another reason I kind of freaked out was they said that many traffic lights on Smithville and also on Woodman and areas were out again. They reported many accidents because of it. Kroger was still open though and they did have ice. My son walked up to the library and came home and said they were closed because of the outage.
