On the matter of the death penalty for child rapists
I oppose this for at least two reasons.
1. I don't believe in the death penalty.
2. If a rapists knows that he will get the death penalty for raping the child then they will probably figure that they may as well kill the child as well.
What are your thoughts on this?
Yes-raping a child or for that matter anyone- is a horrible, horrible and heinous crime. Beyond horrible even but the thought that these people might just go ahead and kill the child because they will get the same sentence anyway.....
I think you know what I'm trying to say. And I really doubt it will deter them in any way.
