Considering filing bankruptcy-need advice
I don't know whether I will do it or not but I am thinking about filing for bankruptcy.
Has anyone here done that? Even if you haven't do you know what's involved?
I want to know if it's the right thing to do or if I might have other options.
I live in Ohio. I have between 4 to 6 thousand in credit card debt and I also still have a huge hospital bill of over 9 thousand dollars which I've had since 2003 (it was even more than that back then).
I am currently out of work, or that is to say I don't have a permanent full time job. Only assignments I can get from the temp. services. I am looking for work but have not been successful at finding a permanent full time position.
I do not own the house I live in, I rent.
My son works part time at the library and helps me out as much as he can.
I own a used 1993 Saturn.
Just thought I would let you know my situation and what I have so if you can advice me.
Are the rules and regulations different in every state?
What are the pros and cons, etc.?
If you can not advice perhaps you know where I can get more information.
