First sentence of the last paragraph is a typo. God instead of good.
As far as the content goes I think you have a good voice and grasp that this is as complicated a topic as a Vorlon's sense of time. The peverbial triple edged sword. I think you have deftly made the point that Caitlin Jenner's transition came with the risk of being awkward. Trans people have higher rates of suicide and murder, they are far far below the national average for employment and more likely to be homeless.
When I think of the people I admire I think of those who take the risk and expose themselves and I think of the people who choose to just live. I have a friend who is a trans man and no one really knows it, but he does. I think of Lana Wachowski who got herself in a position where she could transition and did. One could argue the she too was privileged, until you consider that the Wachowski's came up by force of will and personality from nothing. If you want to see a moving speech, find Lana's acceptance speech from a year or two back.
I don't know what exactly prompted your post but it is a good one. It makes me think of who makes a good rep and voice.
Thank you. There are a few other typos here. I posted it unedited because I wanted my thoughts out and workable right then. I think it's a complicated issue. If Jenner had just made her transition, and did not deliberately draw attention to it, she would not have the responsibility to be a positive voice. She's not a negative voice, but she's a missed opportunity.
Sad thing is she is promoting reality TV show. I think the big difference between some one like Caitlin Jenner and Laverne Cox or Lana Wachowski is summed up in the last Line of Ms. Wachowski's speech "If I can be that person for some one else then the sacrifice of my private and civic life will be worth it. The responsibility of a public voice is better suited for other shoulders
