I'm still working my way through all the pictures I took on the India trip two months ago. When I get those done I'll be moving on to other projects. but I told myself I'd finish the pictures first, so that's what I'm doing.

The next spot on our journey was to visit what's called "The Big Temple" the Brahadeeswarar Temple, or Tanjore. and it's big.



The capstone itself is weighs over 80 tons and is about 25 feet square. The story is that the engineers devised a four mile long incline ramp made of sand to move it safely to the top of the temple. The Chola empire built the big temple in the 10th century.
