I got rid of the months accumulation (longer if you count the time the stuff was sitting in the basement) of trash in my pick-up truck's bed!
I hadn't used my truck in weeks, partly because of the stuff in the back.
As a result, mold had grown in all the places people had touched...steering wheel, turn signal, gear shift knob, seat belts, seats. What a mess! Before I could go I created some dishwashing suds and sponged everything thoroughly, then towel dried or removed the surface suds.
When this whole covid-19 (and possibly covid-20) thing is over, I will spring for a full professional car wash and detailing to remove all the mold and moss and grime throughout the truck.
Before I left I also added to the load all the collapsed and waterlogged cat litter containers sitting outside on the back deck. No more of that: the containers are used to hold the spent litter and poop.
Just as I left the waste transfer station (after paying the $25 fee) it started raining. I had used the rare partly sunny day to take care of our mess. Any delay and it would have been who knows how much longer to wait: perfect timing.
Tomorrow--early morning shingles vaccine part 2 of 2 at Kaiser.
Thursday--Lloyd Center for a Red Cross blood donation. I am not sure where, but don't think it will be the former Sears. However, I will park back there. Lloyd Center has become a ghost town. There are rumors it will be sold and become a baseball stadium.
Friday is Christmas.
By the way, I am taking vacation days (4) so off all this week. I am glad I took the days off. Getting ready for Christmas and taking care of things here have consumed me. I needed the time.
I am enjoying our limited nativity scene, although not happy with the near constant need to correct the cat behavior and often resetting one of the sheep and the donkey.
