Vacuuming
The upstairs hallway, the downstairs dining room and the backroom were vacuumed to-day!
Now I am leaving open the back room door. The cats were very distracted by this and not interested in dinner except for Goose.
I moved the return bottles bag to the front room.
What I did not do--put out poop stations for the cats. I will do that over time.
The top of the cabinet and safe need cleaning, organizing, but I got the floor its first cleaning in months!
Good to have the holiday boxes put away: 5 months late, but better than never!
The basement is in sad shape. I want to try and spend some time there during the summer sorting out stuff to toss. To do this I need to keep the backroom clean and unencumbered by stuff so going to the basement is not a chore.
Keeping the door the backroom keeps the dining room more light and airy, which I appreciate. I am going to try and having my coffee back there and not in the dining room. Would really like to get rid of the futon and chair so I can peel back the carpet and, eventually, get a nice floor in the dining room and entry room. Then I can get a piano again!
The orange flowers in the center of Marvin's Garden are doing well. Spotted a yellow buttercup nearby. The Oregon Iris has a new blossom. One of the plants has an interesting dark pink blossom with ivory inner petal with brown or dark purple blotches.
I went grocery shopping to-day: mainly to get cat food. We are actually well-stocked, so only spent a little more than $60.
