Last month I planned sideyard work.
To-day and yesterday I did some of the work, but not in the original order
Irises:
[x] 1. transplant one errant iris to go with the others.
[x] 2. cut old irises out or into tiny pieces as mulch.
Gate:
[x] 1. dig post holes and adjust until both posts are aligned.
[x] 2. add concrete to one and continue once set.
[w] 3. check position of the other, adjust as needed, then add concrete to that.
[ ] 4. add brackets and rails.
[ ] 5. adjust soil contour and bricks.
the land between the trees (LBT)
[ ] 1. move pile by one tree to the weed tree.
[ ] 2. remove dead concrete and wheel barrow.
[ ] 3. flatten and weed everything between the trees but not the lawn...up to the future fence line.
[ ] 4. landscape fabric added.
Now, start moving things:
[ ] 1. move rock archive in side yard to LBT
[ ] 2. move stuff between rain barrel and window well to LBT
[ ] 3. move stuff on south side to LBT
Tree:
1. dig very deep hole with dirt to the side.
2. dig around little evergreen tree and transplant into hole
3. finish topping around tree.
New wood location:
1. prune branch of juniper.
2. weed area between roses and bricks.
3. add landscape fabric.
4. create bed of sacrificial wood on top of fabric.
5. move wood to new location.
Roses to edge of tetherball court and court to gate fence:
1. sculpt land.
2. plant.
Tetherball court:
1. create circular ditch with completely flat floor.
2. as circle gets to French drain, slope down.
2. add gravel.
3. put in blocks and bricks to mark circle.
4. fill in.
