Accomplished at last

I can take a breath now.

* The correct 240VAC heater was installed in less than an hour at House70. I worked from home to-day in hopes of doing it during the day, but delivery by UPS was around 4:50 p.m.! Nevertheless, being at home already made it easier.

* A project I launched last week at work was finally finished. I had hoped to finish on Wednesday but realized it was not possible then so got it to a certain point to hand it over to other folks to do parallel coding. To-day I did the final bit and handed it over for quality assurance and to have the parallel coding finished.

* Bottles are returned, junk sent to the dump and items we no longer need were donated. Ok, so I still have another bag of bottles to return and I need to clean up the boxes in the front room. However, I feel the majority of the junk issues are behind us.

* Big bills are coming in: water/sewer is huge due to the sewer increases and our water use (we need low flow toilets), the one year price break for cable TV is over, and I have medical bills later. Yet I think I have held down spending and am starting to save toward a new roof.

Plans ahead:

* Put up a Christmas wreath.
* Clean my Christmas mug and replace the Thanksgiving mug for my daily coffee.
* Pull up the rest of the Christmas stuff from storage.
* Move out the green overstuffed chair and replace it with a Christmas tree...and decorate it!
* Send out Christmas cards.
* Finish archiving glass negatives and glass slides.
* Put up a new set of shelves to properly contain our DVDs.
* Find more stuff in the basement to toss or consolidate.
* Sell LPs and books online.
* Record more records and stow them properly.
* Create DVD covers.
* Write/research more personal histories and publish them for photos I already own.

I hope to have a couple of weeks to do this!
* Create more storage for 16mm films.
