Here we are in another weekend. Nice weather, so I will concentrate on the back yard.

Marisa also wants my help inside, so I will help change the covering on our cat-abused sofa.

We purchased the sofa and chair probably two decades ago by now to replace the white kidney shaped sofa I purchased in Kansas City, Missouri in 1990. The sofa and chair was made by a Portland firm but has deteriorated. I have wanted to rehabilitate it, but the company that helped us with the Birmingham Chair left, so need to find a new upholsterer. Also, need to scrape together the money to do that.

We have other fish to fry, though...so putting that project off. Thus the attempt to make do.

The problem with cats, though: if we do refurbish, how do we protect against cat scratching and urinating?

We also have to either do a super clean of the Birmingham Chair or have that reupholstered again. I don't think a clean will do it: it has been stained or bleached and the fabric color has washed out in places. So it must also be reupholstered.

Yesterday at work, after a couple of meetings, I did do some testing of my lalias procedure in action: appears to work. The problem is the other procedures are misbehaving. I need to insert a redraw.

Meanwhile I am approaching both our kit developers and a vendor tool company about changes that appear to be required. I went into the campus restroom and it looked like my hair had suddenly turned gray/colorless. Stress.

Trying to not let any of this get to me. We have so many things going on. Thriftapalooza. My truck's license. The sofa. The dishes. Groceries. Washer/Dryer doors. Various things in the back room and dining room. Cat poo. Marisa's event on April 1. The end of the quarter and the need to finish promised deliverables. AND the drainage work.

My ideal plan was to do a 10x10 space in the basement for our Thriftapalooza space, then on Friday just transfer that to the space. I have had to put that idea aside becuase it is actually has a lower priority than many other things. So likely we will only have next Friday to concentrate all of our Thriftapalooza work...finding, cleaning, packing, driving, checking in, unloading, moving, setting up. Then Saturday and part of Sunday to sit around. The other part of Sunday to pack up and go home.

Things will be so much better when the drainage work is done. Then I can focus on gradually taking care of the back room tasks and general maintenance and cleaning without pressure. There will always be pressure from work deliverables.

This was at the end of yesterday:

[x] setup text to test (it keeps changing, so it like a new thing each time).
[x] test lalias
[x] drive home
[x] put stuff away
[x] open 5 The Great War silent movie dvds and convert to thin-cases
[x] pull in bins.
[x] put out recycling.

For dinner I had re-heated macaroni and cheese.

Our 3rd Star Trek: Discovery episode was viewed...this with the decision to negotiate with the intelligence behind the DMA AKA "The anomoly" and Book and the scientist taking off with a miniature spore drive hooked up to Book's ship. Should be six more episodes to go, then in April: the encore season begins!

We watched the final episode of The Crown with a symbolic handing over the responsibilities to Prince Charles, even though the Queen would still be doing her thing for another two decades. We were spared episodes of the death of Prince Philip, the Princes marriages and the death of the Queen.

This morning I remember part of my dream found that part of the kitchen was cleaned by Marisa. The dream also had me on Tri-Met losing my bag and being threatened by another rider. Just dreams.

Also-- approach to the stairs, grass, driveway, rainbarrel repair, rainbarrel placement....
