Onto the cellar
Other than doing what is needed to get rid of the 1961 Ford Falcon, I have finished with the outdoor preparations for the back room deconstruction.
Yesterday I also loaded the dishwasher with dirty flatware after rinsing and I rinsed and collapsed many cans of catfood (while listening to the music of Jane Weidlin from two of her CDs). I will do more later.
To-day my focus is to move things like the door, hatch, duct and stuff under the stairs. Along the way I will need to buy a vent cap and install it...get grocery money and spend $150 of it in order to save $15 (so $135).
[x] measure duct to back room, buy cap
[x] place road-found tarp on ground next to the compost bins (to prevent mud from getting on wood).
[x] move hatch to area by the compost bins on top of the tarp.
[x] pick up wind tossed branches and pull weed to put in the rolling compost bin.
[x] put cardboard boxes under stairs into recycling.
[x] pull out "nest" garbage into garbage bag.
[x] slide out Celotex Thermax 2 inch insulation sheets and bring into cellar.
[x] move 2-45 boxes, lamp, record cabinet and 2 other boxes into the cellar.
[x] clean lint off dryer vent and store(I should because it is likely they will try to replace it with a plastic sleeve and a plastic "blind" door).
[x] replace light bulb
Not done to-day--must be done next weekend!
[] remove boxes near duct by cellar door.
[] remove duct and cap it, save duct under the backroom door and the floor vent.
[] clean the cellar for access to water cut-off and electrical panel.
[] remove door (unscrew hinges) and door lock hardware
[] stow stuff around dining room window
[] build 2x4 box with plywood side.
[] cut two pieces of paneling to cover window hole.
Optional for backroom project
[] remove bottom board by window well from siding (it is half-off already).
[] remove paneling on walls and ceilings of back room.
[] remove particle board on floor
Not essential for backroom project
[x] cut out blackberries and other weeds in LBT and back yard.
[] screw Earth Machine compost bin to the ground
[] dig weeds from back lawn
[] hand cut grass and remove weeds in LBT
[] take small hand saw to branches and remove twigs in back pile.
[] cut large diameter branches into smaller pieces and keep smaller pieces by cedar tree.
[] move branches to front pile.
[] weed wack back lawn
[] weed wack the park strip
[] move leaves in park strip to Marvin's Garden
[] cut twigs from branches.
[] chip branches.
[] sweep our pathway
[] screw or add screws to pickets on fence in LBT
[] pull out Eico tube tester
[] move bricks in circle to LBT
[] move sidewalk pieces to LBT
