Rare Update
Ok so I never post here to my blog, but I don't want to post what I'm about to say on facebook, and twitter takes too long. I had another shitty day at work thanks to my co-workers. Well really just one co-worker that continues to piss me off along with the rest of my platoon. She just doesn't realize that she's annoying everyone and no one cares about her personal problems. I know that its not easy for her being a single mother, but she needs to understand that she is still a Marine and still has to maintain the standards, and do her duties. In my section, I am section head so that means simply, I am in charge. I don't care how long you've been in or what great things you think you've done, no matter what you do what I say, when I say, and how I say. There should be no questions either. Just do as your told and quit complaining and their wouldn't be problems. But she isn't able to do what she is told without complaining. First, she was told a month in advance that she has duty on the 18th, meaning that on that day she would be posted at the barracks in her Charlie uniform and stand post for 24 hours straight. She would get breaks for chow and some rest when needed, so its really not even a full 24 hours. Her problem is who is going to watch her kid after day care? I understand it sucks that she is a single parent, but the Marine Corps has ways to help you out. We have family care plans for a reason, in case something happened to you and your not able to take care of your family. It lists who is responcible for your family and what to do if something happens to you. She has Marines listed to take of her kid while she's on duty, but she's not comfortable with it. She's finding every little way to get out of duty, its only one day its not the end of the world so quit fucking bitching. She was coming up with this whole plan of how to get out of it, I just find it really pathedic that she is doing this, Its not the end of the world, suck it up and stand your post devil! wtf marine? But she wants to skip the command and go to someone thats not with us, and make our command look bad. That's what pisses off the higher ranking marines and why the whole platoon will get chewed out because of one marine being stupid and selfish. Thats just one of the things she was doing today, here's the other thing. I'm about to be going on a deployment so its mandatory that I get a bunch of training done to prepare. So I'm scheduled to be at the rifle range later this month, along with another kid in my section, so we will both be gone for two weeks. Once she heard that she started freaking out, because she knew that she was going to be required to do more work while we are gone. Me and this other kid do way more work than her, what she does is simple and repetative, nothing strainuos at all. But God forbid she does more than she wants to. She started saying she was going to try to Request Mast. Which is absolutely retarded, its not going to get you anywhere. My Sgt heard that and she just started laughing and said "have fun" I just find it really unfair that when it comes to me and the other guy being on our own at work, we don't freak out and get all upset that we are going to be by ourselves, we accept the challenge and get what we can done. They don't set stuff aside for us, its a normal working day. We adapt and over come, but not her. She gets what she wants and is felt bad for, i don't get why. Its just frustrating and hard to listen to all day. I just really can't wait to leave and get on this deployment, thats what keeps me going knowing that I won't have to put up with this bullshit for much longer. I'm done ranting now, I feel good letting this out, but for sure tomorrow at work I'm going to address this issue.
