Why is abortion singularly a woman's choice? or even a choice at all?
Abortion is an issue of morality; This is true just as the killing of any adult or post-birth child is an issue of morality.
In any given society, there is a set of guidelines (ethics) that govern what the entity typically views as wrong or right. These social codes

Nathan, what brought abortion into your mind, anyway? It's a shitty thing to think about, because whether we believe in it or not, the laws are still there. The ability to have an abortion is still very evident and probably will stay around for quite some time.
I don't know if my views matter, but I think that my views on this are somewhat mixed. If that baby is gonna live a decent life and the mother thinks that it's safe for the baby to be alive, then no, I don't support abortion at all. I only support abortion if that baby is going to go through a nightmare and live like it's hell on earth. We don't need any more of this hell on earth crap, because it's gotten out of hand. This world has turned into a hell itself. A baby with a bad background and rough childhood, in this day and age, could very well screw up the kid for good. I'm not saying this is always the case, but if it looks like that the mother isn't gonna be able to support that child, then save that beautiful child the time and the shit that he or she will go through and either abort the kid or adopt him. It's about the background and what the mother/father is/are willing to do for the baby--or if they are willing to do something but cannot really get a stable life going on, then having a poor little child crying all of the time because they need something to eat, have colic, or any other problems that a baby can/will/most likely will have (due to family history, more than likely) won't help the situation at all. It will just make it worse, and it will make the baby's life worse. I do believe that people should embrace life, even though I have not done so in my 17 years of being here on earth. If the parent(s) aren't able to embrace their own lives, then things will just go haywire, and both the parent(s) and the child are possibly damaged, because remember: many, many, many children including 90% of the people I know have been taught how to live by.. guess who? If parents teach their child the wrong ethics, who knows what will happen. When it comes to abortion, like Ashley said, you just might have aborted a person that could've gotten a cure for HIV/AIDS or changed the world, became famous or even made the world beautiful for JUST ONE PERSON. All it takes is one person, right? After all, the person who has made the world beautiful for that other person is just an individual, themselves. However, you also might be saving the world a serial killer, or a bad influence on somebody who COULD HAVE made it through the world. And girls, don't get angry when I say that, because you seriously have to look at it both ways. Yes, positive is better, but without the negative, there's no positive.
There are so many things to consider when it comes to this subject. Think about Post-Partum Depression and Psychosis: mothers end up getting mentally ill and unable to take care of their child, and if it reaches the psychosis stage, the mother might even kill the sweet little baby that she gave birth to. A mother doesn't want to abort her own blood. She has nothing against the poor little thing and she naturally loves the baby. It's called INSTINCT, and according to you, Nathan, God gave us instinct.
All in all, abortion is shit. I wouldn't do it, I'd just tell the girl to fucking have the baby and get it over with, then put the baby up for adoption before it can remember who you are. Because, believe me, that baby just might not be too happy with you, considering you gave he or she up. They might not realize this as a baby, but as they get older, they'll think about their blood more and more. Like I said before: it's instinct. Birds fly south for the winter, rabbits dig holes to keep warm in the winter, and they just do it naturally--just like a mother and her baby. Sure, we're more complex, but we still have the instinct.
That's all, I guess.
