It's been rotting at my heart.

Why is abortion singularly a woman's choice? or even a choice at all?

Abortion is an issue of morality; This is true just as the killing of any adult or post-birth child is an issue of morality.

In any given society, there is a set of guidelines (ethics) that govern what the entity typically views as wrong or right. These social codes ( Read more... )

as much as i love you nathan and appriciate your ideas and your passion on these issues... i cant help but see the blatent persuasive (( almost manipulative )) sort of bias of your statement.

relating abortion to a hate crime or a sexual offense is completely irrational. they are all completely different crimes on completely different levels. in a hate crime or sexual crime there is a person in the equation who is absolutly victimized and will spend the rest of their life crying, thinking and dealing with that ordeal. then there is a person who commits the crime, who is 100% selfish. they do these things for self gratifying reasons. they seek out these situations, find a victim and then derive pleasure from the completed act. i think abortion is never something a woman WANTS to do, its never something a woman keeps in mind and crosses her fingers for while having unprotected sex (( that she will be impregnated and then abort the fetus )). no one ENJOYS an abortion (( at least i HIGHLY doubt so )). i just see relating all of these things a little far stretched.

its this same sensitivity towards abortion and other issues that i think is holding us as a culture back. i just dont see WHY this is so important. why do we need these people? i may seem like a callous bitch with a statement like this, but its actually quite the opposite. so many things in our society are because of fear and in this fear we are constantly rushing ourselves. we rush time and decisions and this panic rush creates fear. in the future history of the world will we not eventually see change and revolution and war and peace and basically everything? sure one of these murdered pre-born babies could have contributed to these causes, could have made the world more beautiful, could have given an amazing contribution to science or cured cancer or stopped aids. but wont there always be an obstacle to overcome? wont there always be a life threatening sexually transmitted disease? i just think that in the grand scheme of things it wont really matter to be honest. i guess your perspective on this is different, seeing as you are a man of faith and i am not (( a man nor of faith )).

i just think that by women having abortions, they arent avoiding consequences, on the contrarty they are accepting more. even if you HATE having a child and HATE motherhood, its only legally an 18 year sentence (( if you chose to view it that way )). but with an abortion, those thoughts and regrets and pains and "what if's?" last forever. abortion is anything BUT a "get out of jail free" card. i just dont see how you can coin abortion as a way of avoiding consequences.

'The choice my friends is in the physical intimacy.'

I know exactly what your saying and I understand. My qualm is that abortion is the ending of one human life. There is a person ending the life of another person. Regardless of any outside circumstances, it is murder.

ASHLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:0) We're so grossly open and understanding. You bitch.
