One of those days
Its been one of those days and its not even lunch time yet.
The day started off with promise. I woke up in a good mood. Its warm out. The sun is shining.
Then I tried to get to work. Its construction season. Joy! Traffic is at a dead-stop ...
on 481 - the BACKUP route I took since I knew 81 was impassible.
So I finally get to work (15 minutes later than I should have)
I've been trying to get around to installing Redhat ES on a bunch of servers with a custom image for weeks. That
required a build server. So I finally get my hands on the hardware I need today. Woo Hoo!. Time to start
building... BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT ............ thanks for playing, but the hardware doesn't work right.
The CDROM is broken.
OK, no problem. Let me just pull one from this dead box here.
BZZZZZZZZZZT...thanks for playing again....damn thing won't come out of the case
Now I'm getting annoyed.
Finally get the old CDROM out with some persuasion.
Wasn't the CDROM evidently...its still broke. Great!
Now I gotta give it back to the IT guy. Can't do an install without a CDROM.
Now I'm pissed.
Thankfully our IT guy is pretty sharp and we got the box back in 15 minutes - working this time.
So now I can get to work. But stuff like this really annoys the hell out of me.
