It's summer and I haven't retired to update post yet so here goes.
Friday, I had to go to Meeting of the Minds and I think the experience just solidified my total hate of having to get up in from of a large group of people and talk. My presentation of my paper was REALLY BAD, and when I say this I don't mean bad, I mean really bad in that I stuttered the whole way through and sweated profusely while I was talking. Again, I HATE GETTING UP IN FRONT OF LARGE GROUPS OF STRANGERS AND TALKING!!!!!!!!!!! Still, its over and done with so there's no point in dwelling upon it.
Saturday, I spent the morning trying to do annotated bibliographies for the 4" stack of journal articles that I have to read for Tischler. So far I've made a dent, but I have something like 20 more articles to read and take notes on by Tuesday, thus, I'm definitely not going to be able to get all of them done in time. After that I worked more or less the whole day. It was insane, last night someone accidentally gave me a hundred dollar bill on accident and I didn't realize it until I was being checked out. I actually felt really bad for whoever made the mistake, since someone probably needed to money and I'd hate to screw them over. Before I left I had narrowed the possible people down to 6 or 7 deliveries, but the only problem is that I couldn't really call up customers be like "Hi, this is the cottage inn driver. Did you by any chance accidentally give me a $100 bill, because I'd like to return it so I don't screw you over". In the end, I ended up making insane amounts of tip money because of the mistake, but I'm not spending the money anytime soon since I think someone might call up today about it.
After work me Chris and Jeff had a wine snob party at their apartment while we watched "Sideways". Naturally, since they bought the wine I was the under-age cheese-bitch. I actually bought a hell of a lot of cheese with the variety spanning cheddar, mozzarella, colby, munster, and because we're such fancy #%)*ers kraft american singles. The whole time I was buying the cheese all of the night employees at Miejers kept on giving me these weird looks like I had some sort of sexual cheese fetish and that I needed arms full of cheese to feed my late night sexual urge. Still, I haven't bought cheese in a while and so all I have to say is holy #$^$ its so expensive. I don't what was up with cheese prices last night but even the faux individually wrapped cheese slices were like $4. Either way, the wine snob party was fun although I don't really think the alkis actually enjoyed the wine that much since by the end of the night Chris was slamming back the glasses of wine every minute or so.
Today, the morning began with the two-tone cheese shits and I have a feeling that for how much cheese we ate its going to be it going to be like that for a while. Other than that I'm mainly doing annotated bibliographies and working for the rest of the day, so nothing too exciting.
P.S. Pinot noir kicks ass and merlot sucks!!
